In order to develop research and provide solutions in the field of nutrition science and to achieve the following goals, the Center for Research in Nutrition Sciences of Tabriz University of Medical Sciences was established:

1- Development and application of human knowledge in the field of nutrition in order to provide food and nutrition security with:

(A) Improving physical and economic access to food

B) promoting culture and nutritional education

(C) Improving the health and safety of food

(D) Prevention and treatment of malnutrition

2- Performing fundamental and clinical research in order to improve the health services system of the country in order to meet the needs of the Islamic society.

3- Collection, arrangement and classification of documents, articles and documents related to them and their publication

4. Training the human resources of the researcher in the fields mentioned in paragraph 1

5. Encouragement, encouragement and application of researchers

6- Efforts to attract attention and cooperation of relevant research and development centers within the country

7. Scientific cooperation with research and educational centers of other countries and international organizations in accordance with the laws and regulations of the Islamic Republic of Iran
