In order to expand research and provide solutions in the field of nutrition sciences and to achieve the following goals, the Center for Nutrition Research Tabriz University of Medical Sciences was established:
1- Development and application of human knowledge in the field of nutrition sciences in order to ensure food and nutrition security with:
A) Improving physical and economic access to food
B) Promoting culture and nutrition literacy
C) Improving food hygiene and safety
D) Prevention and treatment of diseases caused by malnutrition
2- Carrying out basic and clinical research in order to reform the system of providing health care services in order to meet the needs of the Islamic community
3- Collecting, organizing and classifying relevant documents, articles and documents and publishing them
4- Training the researcher manpower in the fields mentioned in paragraph 1
5- Encouraging, encouraging and employing researchers
6- Efforts to attract the attention and cooperation of relevant research and executive centers in the country
7- Scientific cooperation with research and educational centers of other countries and international organizations in compliance with the laws and regulations of the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran
